Heidi Klum born Bergisch Gladbach Germany 1st June 1973. Her mother Erna had a career as a hairdresser. Gunther Klim, her father was the head of the cosmetics business. Heidi's father worked as an Operations Manager at the fragrance firm 4711. Heidi was raised in Bergisch Gladbach which is a town of 100,000 only 6 miles to the east of Cologne. She is a former model of German descent who is a television host, producer and fashion designer. The show was sponsored by German Women's Magazine Petra included the late-night talk show that was hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. Klum was competing against thousands of other contestants across Germany and Europe to make it to the semifinals. She was the winner in April 1992 of the biggest prize in modeling, $300,000.
